What's the best way to change from blonde to brown?

A shimmering red tone can really liven up your natural deep shade or consider scattering fine highlights through lighter hair to add a little depth and interest.

Which colors best suit my fair complexion?
Your light, pale skin looks fantastic with cooler hair colors that compliment your natural pink, grey or blue skin tones. If you have a tendency to blush, ash tones effectively neutralise any pinkness in the skin. The trick is to avoid gold, yellow, red and bronze tones, which may to make you look sallow and drawn. Ash blondes, dark cherry and mahogany shades work in perfect combination with fair skin.

My hair is practically all grey, are there colors I can use?
Select one of Schwarzkopf's color products that have been specially formulated to cover 100% of grey hair. There is an incredible range of choice, depending on whether you want to blend your grey or go for a totally new shade.
Is there a way to blend in my grey root re-growth?
For grey and greying hair we recommend our Root Retoucher or the Diadem Root-Set but if you want to achieve natural looking color with no roots then avoid an all over tint. Choosing a well selected variety of tone-on-tone highlights will make re-growth much less obvious.
Why didn't my white hair absorb the color in places?
Not all products can be used to cover white and grey because some hair may have sealed cuticles that effectively shield the core from absorbing the color pigment. Make sure you choose a color suitable for covering grey hair, apply the product to the grey areas first and extend the processing time accordingly.

Can I mix two colors together?
Yes, if you do not want to lighten your hair color. It's important to select two colors from the same product range. Mix your two colors in equal quantities together and then add an adequate amount of developer lotion.
I've mixed the color cream and developer and now the color in the bowl looks different from the shade I want, what's going on?
This is because the active ingredients in the color only begin to develop and create the desired color result during the oxidation process in the hair.
Why do I have to apply the mixed color immediately?
The color process is activated by the actual act of mixing the two products together but the mixture is only active for an hour afterwards. For best results, apply mixture immediately. Try not to be distracted by taking a phone call for example, otherwise the magic happens in the bowl and not on your head!
How can I remove splashes of color from my face?
Simply wash away any splashes of color with water and cleanse your face with a cotton wool pad straight after the application.

Why is there a slightly green tone to the result?
Blondes can sometimes take on a tinge of green because of either impurities in the water such as copper, salts and chlorine or simply too much sun. The green tinge can be neutralised with the tiny red pigments found in shampoos for color treated hair. After shampooing, dissolve two aspirin in water and wash your hair with this but remember not to rinse it out.
It's more intense then I imagined!
If your hair seems too bright or vibrant then wash it immediately using an anti-dandruff shampoo and then nourish your hair with an intensive treatment for about 30 minutes. The shampoo strips the fine Keratin layer from the hair and then works with the active ingredients in the treatment to draw color pigment out of the shaft. The color can then be softened by rinsing out some of the pigment.
My new blonde tone has a red tinge, what should I do?
Dark hair colors may naturally contain red color pigment, so if this occurs you can either re-apply the blonde color or try a lighter ash shade to achieve a clearer blonde result.
