STEP BY STEP STYLING
One cut - six styles for straight, long hair

Annette`s extremely long hair offers many styling possibilities. Due to highlights and well-placed layers, her hair gains volume and natural, sun-kissed shine. In only a few steps, she can create these completely different looks.

Annette distributes Taft flexible styling mousse (extra strong hold) into her damp hair and wraps the top section of hair into fat curlers. This creates bounce and provides a good basis for the following looks. Then she sprays hair with Taft flexible hairspray, then blow dries or or lets hair air dry.

To keep this look natural, Annette blow dries her hair quickly into shape over a round brush. A prefect finish for the sleek volume look: Taft flexible hairspray (strong hold). This gives vibrant hold, because the hair doesn`t stick together.

Annette backcombs the hair in back, which gives straight hair added hold and makes it easier to pin up. Then she gathers her hair loosely into a low ponytail and secures it with a few hairclips. Then Annette sections off hair into 3 - 4 strands underneath the ponytail and pins them into place about the ponytail with hairpins. Annette loosens the strands a bit with her fingers and lightly backcombs them, so that a few strands are given a feathery look. Then she loosens a few strands from the side sections of her hair. To finish, she sets the look with a classic hairspray for natural hold (here: Taft).

For a more elegant look, Annette wraps her long hair in a loose bun at her neck. First she brushes hair using a brush with natural bristles. (Tip: First apply a touch of Taft flexible hold hairspray to give fine hair more hold.) Then she gathers her hair and twists the ponytail upwards over her thumbs. Next, she secures the bun with hairpins. (Professional tip for better hold of the hairpins and bobby pins: Backcomb hair slightly before inserting the hairpins.) To finish, Annette sprays a colour shine lacquer from Taft over the entire hairstyle. This not only sets her hairstyle but also adds a touch of shimmer.

SOFT CHIGNONS
SOFT CHIGNONS

This look features two loose buns at the back of hair: First Annette divides the hair in back into two equal sections. Then she twists the ponytail over her thumbs into a bun and pins them behind her ears with hairpins. For a softer look, she allows a few strands to hang out, as well as a few along the fringe and at the sides. If desired, she works some shine gel - wax (e.g., Taft) into individual strands and tousle hair with her fingers. Then she sets the entire look with a colour shine hairspray (e.g., Taft).

The ultimate trend: artificial hair strands. In this case, Annette has chosen red strands. Styling is easy: Annette blows her hair dry upside down so that it gains more volume. Then she takes a few colourful strands of hair and attaches them to the hair from underneath. To finish, she tousles hair to blend the natural with the artificial strands for luminous accents.
